The Work and Travel Program offered by HR Nepal allows bona-fide overseas university students to work in the USA for up to four months during their summer school break (from June to October for Summer & November to March for Winter) under the J-1 visa category.

HR Nepal provides placement of Work and Travel students for 3-4 months and for internship for 12 months and training for 18 months. HR Nepal cooperates with overseas recruiters and with approved sponsors to provide the best programs for students and interns.

The Work and Travel programs are available for winter: late November to March, for spring: March through June, and for summer: June-August/September. The seasons are somewhat different for each country, as they must correspond to the "summer breaks" in the country. Also, in some cases, summer can begin in July and continue to October.

HR NEPAL also arranges for internship for 12 months and training for 18 months. HR NEPAL cooperates with overseas recruiters and with approved sponsors to provide the best programs for intern and trainees. The Internship programs are for 12 months and training is for 18 months and internship or training can begin at any time of the year. Internship and training are for full time students or recent graduates within the first year of graduation.

HR NEPAL partners with recruiters from countries throughout the world, i.e. Latin and Central America, Eastern Europe and Asia. Also, HR NEPAL cooperates with several sponsors that are designated by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Cultural Affairs.

PARTICIPANT PREREQUISITES

• be 18-30 years of age,
• be a bona-fide university student at an institution intheir native countries,
• be capable of functioning in an English speaking environment,
• be able to document proof of sufficient funds and bring a minimum of 800 USD,
• thoroughly complete the Work and Travel Program application packet
• be able to pass a drug test
